In 1995, the environmental musical, ALAMAT NG MANGGA, was staged by the
legendary director, CECILE GUIDOTE ALVAREZ. The Musical was composed and
arranged by a young upstart composer and lyricist Ferdinand Dimadura. Among those watching was the respected music critic PABLO TARIMAN. He was very impressed. The following day, he wrote in his Philippine Daily Inquirer column, that though relatively unknown, “Ferdinand Dimadura is a composer in the ranks of
Ryan Cayabyab.”

Many years have past since the staging of that musical. And Ferdinand’s creativity
has become even more impressive with the passing of time. He has re invented
himself, to become an internationally awarded Cinematographer and Film Director. His short film, CHICKEN ALA CARTE, a Winner at the 56th Berlin International Film Festival, became one of the Most Viewed Short Films in the world. A Japanese educator and former boxer EIJI YOSHIKAWA hailed it as “the most powerful film ever made.”
